The Institute & Guild of Brewing (IGB) comes about as a result of merger between the Institute of Brewing and the International Brewers' Guild, members organisations who have been around for decades. With the rationalisation and drastic restructuring of the UK Brewing Industry, it was timely that supporting elements, such as members organisations, should come together.

Our interests lie in supporting the malting, brewing and distilling industries. While preserving our heritage (well over 100 years!) we seek to provide services to members that are relevant to the changing demands of industry and commerce. Our members (over 4,000) come from all walks of life - scientists, brewers, distillers, suppliers - in fact anyone who has an interest in beer and its related beverages.
